Martin Luther King jr. zei het al:
“The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people.”
Vandaag zegt het “The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights”:
between 6 and 12 June – the first week of the Islamic holy month of fasting – at least 224 people were killed, among them 148 civilians, including 50 children and 15 women, all killed as helicopters dropped “explosive barrel” bombs.
“We … renew our condemnation of the international community for its continued terrifying silence about the crimes committed against the Syrian people,” the monitor said.
